Donors Who Are Residents Of The United States

Brentwood College School, along with forty-eight other Canadian Independent Schools, is benefiting from an organization called FRISBE or “Friends of Independent Schools and Better Education”. FRISBE is a Charitable Foundation based in Tacoma, Washington, which has the capacity to issue a tax receipt for gifts generated from US sources.

During its 35 years of operation, FRISBE has received donations in excess of $12 million U.S., receipted donors and made grants to a large number of schools, including qualified Canadian schools. If you wish to make a tax-deductible donation to Brentwood College School, please make your donation using the attached letter, which requests that the FRISBE Board make a grant to Brentwood. While FRISBE must use the word “request” there is no fee for service and the full amount of your gift will be transferred to Brentwood College School. FRISBE will issue you a receipt for United States Income Tax purposes.

The United States Treasury Department, Internal Revenue Service, includes the Friends of Independent Schools and Better Education in its “Cumulative List of Organizations” described in Section 170(c) of the Internal Revenue Code—which are exempt from Federal Income taxes under section 501(c) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions and gifts to the Friends of Independent Schools and Better Education are deductible for Federal Income Tax purposes to the full extent permitted by law. Federal Tax Number 91-1216755.

FRISBE can also tax-receipt gifts of stock. Please refer to this pdf relating to the necessary information and process. We encourage you to contribute to Brentwood by using the services of FRISBE if it will be to your advantage; otherwise, please send your donation directly to Brentwood with checks made out to Brentwood College School.

Thank you for considering a gift to Brentwood.
