Student Impact Fund Initiatives
There are many funds that donors can direct their gifts to — two initiatives that we continue to focus on are "B4B" and the Grad Class Endowment Funds. For more information on these initiatives, please read on.
"B4B" Brentwood for Brentonians
In the 2017-2018 school year, 51 Brentwood students (10%) had a parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle who had attended the school. What better way to promote your Brentwood experience, than sending your children or grandchildren to the school.
The reality is that one in four students at Brentwood receive some form of financial support. We would like to grow this fund so that your school is accessible to family of Old Brentonians. The Old Brentonian Trust is an endowed fund which generates annual interest in support of financial aid for children/family of Old Brentonians.
To continue growing this fund, four Old Brentonian donors have committed to a matching gift campaign – “B4B – Brentwood for Brentonians” to a maximum of $40,000 per year for three years.
If you can commit $25 per month for three years to help grow this fund, be one of the first 50 OB’s to support this campaign.

Grad Class of 2020 Endowment Fund
Parents of the Grad Class of 2015 were passionately focused on developing an endowed bursary award in honor of their graduating sons and daughters. To endow a Named Fund at Brentwood requires a minimum of $100,000. A handful of parents of 2015 graduates reached this goal. This was repeated with twice the number of parents participating to establish the Class of 2016 Bursary Endowment. The Grad Class of 2017 and 2018 did it again! $100,000 raised to secure a perpetual endowment that will annually generate interest to be used to support a future Brentwood student.
The first award from these grad endowments was made this year from the 2015, 2016 and 2017 Grad Class endowment that has generated sufficient interest to move forward. We are extremely grateful to the parents – and grad classes themselves who also raised funds for their class endowments – whose vision and contributions will make Brentwood educations possible for future students.
The students from the Class of 2020 have a fundraising goal of $10,000 which becomes part of the Grad Class of 2020 Endowment Fund. Student fundraising activities include the Air Band competition, the Snowball dinner and theatre, Purdy's chocolate sales at Christmas and Easter, Valentine’s Day candy grams and Match Maker forms.
All donations will receive a charitable tax receipt and will be part of the 2019-2020 Annual Giving campaign. If you have any questions regarding this email, please feel free to contact me.
