This Tuesday the school gathered in the gym for a nail-biting Showcase game. The Senior Girls felt confident going into the game against our fierce rival, Shawnigan Lake School. However, you never know exactly what the future holds: who can look into the seeds of time and say which will grow and which will not?

Luckily, the girls’ confidence was expressed on the court as they took on the competition boldly. Starting the game strongly, they went straight into the lead. Though Shawinigan proved to be a strong rival, the hard work that the girls put in leading up to the game definitely showed off. The girls made some great plays, running the ball up and down the court as well as making some game-changing passes and blocks. In the end we earned a 48-43 victory.

The game proved to be a huge success as our girls dominated, though at moments the score got a little too close for many of the fans in the stands. I’d like to send out a huge thank you on behalf of the girls to all the fans that came to support during the game. It was a great turn out with a sea of red, black, and white taking over the stands. The game wouldn’t have been the same without the Brentwood family cheering on our very own every step of the way. The girls would like to thank Zjaya D for stepping up from the Junior team and playing with them.

The Brentwood family looks forward to supporting our Senior Girls through the rest of their highly successful season.

Go Girls!
