Sustainability

Brentwood has initiated green policies across campus in order to minimize the school's environmental impact. We are now using more efficient heating technologies, exploring options for on-demand hot water, measuring our GHG (Green House Gas) emissions, and developing a vehicle idling policy.

Campus

Brentwood's oceanfront campus has an international reputation that matches its educational profile as one of the world's great boarding schools. Set on pristine oceanfront on the sheltered east coast of Vancouver Island, the 75-acre campus is private, but not isolated. Located just 40km north of Victoria, the capital city of British Columbia, the campus sits next to the village of Mill Bay, and is an hour's drive from four major ferry terminals and the Victoria International Airport. Stunning views on clear days to snow capped Mount Baker and Finlayson Arm create cherished memories for Brentonians.
Mill Bay, BC
Forty kilometers north of Victoria, British Columbia, the town of Mill Bay (population 3,250) hugs the ocean along a quiet and breathtaking stretch of water that opens onto the Gulf Islands.
Established in the 1860s as a lumber town, Mill Bay is now a destination for families seeking a rare and vanishing ideal: a safe and quiet rural life in an idyllic setting. In addition to the natural charms that make it a haven for hikers, cyclists, and boaters, Mill Bay boasts an excellent shopping facility and a small marina. Restaurants, banks, a medical centre with X-ray and lab services, a pharmacy, and many independently owned retail outlets ensure that this community is also convenient. Just a 30 minute drive from Victoria, Mill Bay has the feeling of a small town with the numerous resources of the city at its disposal.
