Tony Medina, B.P.E. (University of Calgary)

Born in Sydney, Australia, Tony Medina graduated from Sydney Teachers' College in 1967 and the University of Calgary in 1974. After teaching in Australia, England, and Alberta, he moved to Vancouver Island with his wife, Becky, and their two daughters. In 1996, he was appointed Director of Athletics and Head of Rugby at Brentwood. Apart from coaching the 1st XV rugby team, he has found time to coach numerous representative teams at both the provincial and national team levels. Those teams include the Vancouver Island Crimson Tide, BC Senior Men, Canada Under-19, and Canada Under-21. Mr Medina most recently coached Canada West to successive North American championships in 2006, 2007 and 2008.
