Rob MacLean, B.A. (University of Alberta)

Rob MacLean arrived at Brentwood in 1977 with his wife, Joyce, and a full of head of hair. Joyce started the dance programme at Brentwood before becoming the mother of the MacLean's two daughters, both Brentwood "lifers". In addition to his teaching, Mr. MacLean has served as president of the Debate and Speech Association of British Columbia, as well as Chief Examiner for History 12 (20th Century World History). A new development in his career has led to a passion for art history. His recent sabbatical year found the MacLeans visiting the museums and historical sites of Western Europe in such areas as southern Germany, Madrid, Ravenna, and the Somme Valley. Now an older, wiser teacher of history, Mr. MacLean can still haul his old body around the tennis and squash courts, as well as the running trails.
