Patricia Steinbrink Kelly, B.A., B.Ed. (Memorial University), M.A. (University of Victoria)
Born in Newfoundland of German parents, Patricia Steinbrink Kelly grew up speaking German at home and has always had a passion for languages. For her first degree she majored in German and minored in French, spending the summers working in Switzerland and Germany.
While pursing her studies she worked at Newfoundland's prestigious St. John's Arts and Cultural Centre for eight years. In 1983 she completed her Bachelors in Education, majoring in secondary language methodology. Having taught in the public and private school systems, she enjoys incorporating humour into the curriculum and demystifying the study of second languages.
For 25 years she coached men's and women's rowing crews to a number of national championships and was a member of the first National Coaching Institute class.
A Masters degree in sports psychology followed before her arrival at Brentwood. Mrs. Steinbrink Kelly is the Head of Modern Languages, teaches French and is a former Assistant Houseparent of Whittall House.
