Bonita Chan Griffiths, B.Ed.(UBC), A.R.C.T.(Piano Performance), Dip. Art Ed.(UBC)

A teacher, a perfomance artist, and an athlete: Bonnie Griffiths is truly tripartite. Upon graduation from high school in Burnaby, Mrs. Griffiths progressed immediately into the B. Ed. programme at U.B.C., and then returned to piano studies, becoming an Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Toronto in piano performance. Mrs. Griffiths is a natural teacher. Beginning with piano at age 16, she has taught math, art, and music in Langley, Coquitlam, and Mill Bay. A level 2 NCCP coach, she also coaches volleyball at Brentwood. Before settling in Mill Bay and raising two boys with her Welshman husband, Mrs. Griffiths travelled and backpacked extensively. She has made landfall in Greece, Portugal, Britain, France, Costa Rica, Mexico, China, and Japan. Mrs. Griffiths now pours her adventurous and vibrant spirit into family life, sports, camping, teaching, and managing the famously infamous Cowichan Outdoor Volleyball League. In 2007, she assumed the assistant houseparent position of Mackenzie House.
