Beth Melhuish, M.Ed. (University of Victoria)

Beth Melhuish was born in West Yorkshire and educated in the British grammar school system. At the Royal Victoria University of Manchester, she majored in English and minored in history and geography. Before immigrating to Canada, Ms. Melhuish taught English, E.S.L., and drama in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Ms. Melhuish has worked at Brentwood since 1983. She has taught E.S.L., English, history, government, and drama, and has edited the yearbook. She is currently the faculty sponsor of the graduating class. A mother of three children - two of whom are Brentwood "lifers"-Ms. Melhuish returned to university when her youngest child graduated. She earned her M.Ed. in Language Arts at the University of Victoria in 2000. A lifelong learner, Ms. Melhuish has recently taken up painting and has already had her first major show.
