Sir Winston Churchill Public Speaking Competition

Against a talented field of speakers, three Brentwood students participated in the Sir Winston Churchill Impromptu Speaking Competition in Victoria on Saturday. Participants were given a Churchillian quotation and two minutes to prepare a two to three minute speech regarding the statesman's life, legacy, and to extrapolate his wisdom into a modern context. Jack H seized the runner-up award. The trip ended with a trip to Chapters and then a well-earned round of frappacinos for Jack, Ian M & Hezron R.
