Senior Girls Basketball

Wednesday, January 04, 2017 - By: Glory C, Mackenzie ‘18

In early December, the Senior Girls Basketball team travelled to Vancouver to kick off the season. The girls competed in the annual ISA Tournament, hosted by Crofton House, and competed in three games. Unfortunately, the girls lost their first game in a very close match against Mulgrave, but managed to bounce back and come out victorious in their last two games. The girls ended with a close and very impressive win in their final game, which was against Crofton House, on their home court, 58-57.

The team, led by Captain Chidinma A, Alex ‘17 played intense basketball and opened the season with a bang. Chidinma managed to score over 30 points in the final game against Crofton House alone, and several other notable achievements were made.

Although it is very early in the season, the girls are off to a great start and have a promising season ahead of them. As the season progresses, we look forward to tracking the girls’ progress game after game.
