Last Friday, students volunteered at the Cowichan Valley’s One World Festival and every student brought a piece of their home with them. The festival consisted of a wide range of cultural music, performances, a fashion show and international cuisine. Brentwood, a place where the world comes to board, is honored to have many different cultures and ethnicities amongst us and this was a hit at the Festival.  Many Brentwood students got to show off stunning clothing that is native to their culture or they got to amuse the crowd with traditional dances and songs. The production went well and left everyone in awe of the world’s diversity and beauty. Ibrahim S, Whittall ‘15 was a student left dumbfounded by the ordeal: “I know that the festival was pretty interesting and I know that I enjoyed myself!” Hopefully Brentwood will participate again in years to come.
