Junior Boys Win Tourney
The Junior Boys’ Basketball team travelled to the Comox Valley for the Isfeld Ice Tournament this weekend and came back winners. With victories over Highlands, Nanaimo District SS and the hosts, Mark Isfeld in the final game, the boys captured first place in the eight team event.
Andrew L and David H played important minutes throughout the tourney, Sutasit S shot well, and stalwarts Shalev S and Jordan C made some clutch plays. Austin G’s free throw in the last minute of the gold medal game expanded the lead to three and Brentwood came away with a 58-55 victory.
The next test for the boys will be the Mid-Island Championships which will keep them busy over the midterm break.
