Junior Bball Nets ISA Bronze

After a short week of practice and a home win over local rival Cowichan, the Junior A Boys Basketball team headed to Vancouver this weekend to compete in the ISA tournament. They won their opening game against Southridge on Friday before falling by a handful of points to eventual silver medallist Collingwood.  Saturday brought a tough loss of gold medallist St. George’s before a 56-51 win over St. Michael’s for the bronze medal. Over the course of the weekend, Player of the Game awards went to Ian G, Jeff M, Konrad K & Jack NG. The junior boys will play Gulf Islands at GISS on Tuesday and GW Graham of Chilliwack on Thursday, before hosting the Brentwood Challenge Tournament on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 20 & 21.  Their first game is Friday, at noon, vs. Wellington in the Woodwards Sportplex.
