Girls Rugby Gets Started

The Girl's Rugby program has its first match of the season on Tuesday against Frances Kelsey High School.The players "had a go" throughout the game, and the skills they have been working on in training, especially running straight to commit defenders and then passing the ball to a teammate with the space to continue the forward momentum, were on display. All of the new players did a wonderful job in their first game, and the veterans were incredibly supportive in leading the group.  The competitive season will start very soon after the holiday, and the future looks bright for this young but exciting group of players.
