Concert for a Winter’s Eve
This past Saturday, as most of you already know, was a ‘Red’ Saturday, a Saturday in the Brentwood calendar that DOES NOT have academic classes. A weekend day were students and faculty get to sleep in, relax, watch cartoons, and take a much deserved breather from the usual pace of Brentwood life.
We might have had Saturday off, but the preceding days were chock a block with activity.
Thursday featured both the American Thanksgiving dinner in Crooks Hall and the school performance of Concert for A Winter’s Eve. Crooks Hall was bursting with great food, celebratory cheer and many of our American families who had travelled north to visit their children and participate in the Parent-Teacher-Student interviews on Friday afternoon. 100 families took part in these discussions, bringing to 300 the number of families who were able to take advantage of the school’s 3 sessions this fall.
On the stage of the Killy Theatre in the Bunch Centre for the Performing Arts 103 singers, musicians and dancers, supported by the Theatre Production team of 20 students put on terrific shows on Thursday and Friday nights.
Today, Monday, finds us back at the books with the classrooms and labs buzzing with pre-exam energy. Exams begin Friday, December 9 and conclude the following Wednesday, December 14. Most students will write 5 exams. December holidays for the students begin Thursday, December 15. Ho, ho ho!
