Last Monday the Senior Girls Soccer team travelled to the North Islands tournament where they won every game in their pool before being narrowly beaten in the shootout of the championship game.

The tournament was a huge step forward for all the girls on the team with all of them playing their 100% best. Morgan W, Allard ‘18 scored a beautiful goal in the semi-final to win the match while Captain and MVP Vanessa C, Allard ‘17 showed her leadership by scoring two goals in the championship game. All the girls worked as a unit to get the job done and the results proved it all. As a result, the girls qualified for the Islands.

The girls have spent the past week preparing for this challenge, which begins today, Monday, May 15. The tournament is hosted by Frances Kelsey at various locations in Duncan. Their first game today is against Ballenas at McAdam Park at 11:00 followed by a 2:00 match vs Ladysmith on the Sherman Road turf.
