Ice Hockey

The Brentwood ice hockey programme operates in the second term and is open to all students, male or female. Players must have some previous experience and their own equipment.

Brentwood Ice Hockey
  • The hockey teams practice three times a week at the local Kerry Park Arena, a four minute bus ride from the school.
  • Teams compete in both the senior and junior divisions of the Cowichan Valley High School Hockey League; they also play exhibition games.
  • The senior team was league champion in 2005, and runner- up in 2007.

Highlights of the hockey season include the Ross Cup Tournament and the Showcase game against Shawnigan Lake School. The Ross Cup is the largest high school hockey tournament in BC. The most recent tournament comprised two boys' divisions and one girls' division. The annual Showcase hockey evening allows the entire Brentwood school community to be part of the most widely attended and noisy sporting event of the second term.
